I have a wireless Logitech controller which does not have a usb cord spot to plug in my ps3. It uses AA batteries. The actual name of the controller is the cordless rumblepad and it looks like this

Okay, first check to see if the batteries are working. That might be the problem. You might also have to charge it which would require a cord. But if it doesn’t have a cord plug in then you might need to check out your PS3. Pressing the Playstation button on the controller can work too.
Go to accesorries or system settings on the XMB toolbar. And try to get the controller to the first person spot. If this doesn’t work, you might have bought the wrong controller.
